Alexander Klügl holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from RWTH Aachen University and ENSMP Paris, as well as a degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from RWTH Aachen University.

His professional career spans several decades and includes numerous senior positions in the energy sector. Since 2007, he has been working as a Network Access Manager at Rheinische NETZGesellschaft, specializing in grid management and access regulation. From 2002 to 2007, he served as an advisor on gas industry matters at the Association of Local Utilities (VKU).

Earlier in his career, he worked as project and construction manager for international power plant projects at companies such as Lahmeyer, AEW and Balcke Dürr.

Since 2006, he has also been a lecturer in energy engineering, energy economics and mathematics at Rheinische Fachhochschule Cologne. In addition, he is an author for VDE Verlag and has published several books on topics related to the energy sector. Since 2019, he has been a partner at Campus-EW, underlining his extensive network and recognized expertise within the energy industry.
